September 15th, 2013: Erie, Pennsylvania Presque Isle Full Marathon: 3 hours, 19 minutes, 12 seconds

Recap: Not a bad result—for not training. My training started out as planned and went well as I used the Run Less, Run Faster program. Unfortunately, my training was limited a couple months prior to the race. Why? I was happily married, then my wife and I traveled to Italy for 2.5 weeks, and then I started my Master’s program in Biomechanics. A lot of new beginnings going on. I had about a month to train before the race once I got back, but was still sporadic. I did not have any issues until I began to cramp about the last couple miles of the race. I hydrated by alternating with Gatorade and water per mile. I consumed a GU packet 30 minutes prior and every 45 minutes during the race. _________________________________________________________

September 16th, 2012: Erie, Pennsylvania Presque Isle Half Marathon: 1 hour, 41 minutes, 28 seconds Recap: I was shooting to qualify for Boston on this course. Upon toeing the line, I for once listened to my body. I knew that if I started I was going to push myself to his the pace that I wanted to qualify. I altered to the half and am thankful I had done so. I had been suffering from shin splints and plantar fasciitis for about 2 weeks prior. _________________________________________________________
